25455 Corporal Samuel Eddy The Welch Regiment Depot Section

Son of Mary Ann Eddy of 66 Danygraig Street, Pontypridd. His brother Ernest Stanley Lewis Eddy also died in WW1.

He was a military passenger on board RMS Leinster which was sunk by torpedoes in the Irish Sea, 16 miles east of Dublin, shortly before 10am on the 10th October 1918, on its outbound journey of 100km from Kingstown (now Dun Laoghaire), Dublin, to Holyhead, Anglesey, North Wales.

His name is included in RMS Leinster
