| Shared note | The Cornishman, Thursday 14 July 1904 (Cornwall, England) SAD NEWS FROM ABROAD Mrs. Elizabeth Eddy, of West Place, St. Just, received by Monday's mail from Johannesburg, South Africa, news of the death of her only son, Mr. John Eddy, which took place about three weeks since at the Johannesburg Hospital, after a few days' illness. Deceased left his home nine years ago. He was highly esteemed by everyone. The interment took place at the cemetery, Johannesburg, the funeral being largely attended by friends from the old home, particulars of which will appear later. Much sympathy is felt for his mother and sisters in the loss of a good son and kind brother.
