| Shared note | Tammy was 74 when she left St Just to be with her family in the Antipodes. She is buried in the old cemetery at Oamaru in the South Island of New Zealand. She was staying with her daughter Elizabeth (Johns - husband born in St Just) and her son, R.T. Oats. The death notice appeared in «i»The Cornishman«/i», Thursday, 27 October 1904. It is amazing that a woman of her age would leave her home and travel so far. |
