| Shared note | Used to own a wet (i.e. fresh) fish shop next to the King's Arms pub in St Just. After some time, bought a 2nd hand fryer and then also sold fish and chips. This was the 3rd fish and chip shop to open in St Just, one of the others was, ironically, run by Jim Eddy (no relation!). This one was located next to the cinema that used to exist in Cape Cornwall Street and the other was Blewett's on Fore Street. George and Joyce then ran a pub in Botallack. Died within weeks of being diagnosed with a brain tumour, aged 59. |
