| Shared note | If Richard married, there are the following possibilities: (a) Elizabeth GILBERT, 8 Jul 1840, Perranuthnoe (groom of full age, signed, a Harrier of St Just, son of William a miner) (b) Margaret OSBORN, 30 Jan 1847, St Levan (groom of full age, made mark, a miner of St Just, father 'deceased') However, neither state the groom's age. We can eliminate (b) as Richard's father was noted as deceased when married in 1847, but William is alive in the 1851 census. I also looked up Richard and Margaret are in the 1851 census (at Rose, St Just ref 3i-14) and he is aged 32, born St Just. The age matches quite well but this Richard may have been born in St Buryan. Couple (a) could be at Part Of Tenement Of Carrallack, St Just (ref 7-89) in the 1841 census: Eddy Richard 25 Carrier In county Eddy Elizabeth 24 In county Although this would appear too old for this Richard. I can't find couple (a) in the 1851 census. I can't find a burial record for Richard. |
