| Shared note | There are possible 3 baptisms for this Sarah, daughter of: (a) Francis and Alice, 31 Aug 1806, Sennen (b) William and Mary, 3 Nov 1811, Paul (baptised Sarah Oliver WALLIS) (c) Thomas and Mary, 7 May 1812, St Just (twin with Hannah Bottrall WALLIS) Of these, daughter of (a) was in the 1841 census with her parents at Treeve, Sennen (Enum Dist 8, Book 15 Folio 5 Page 2), but there is no sign of her having a son (Thomas). However, she was a spinster at the time Thomas was baptised (1830), as she married Richard GREEN at Sennen in 1 Aug 1841. Not sure, but probably the daughter of (c) married John WILLIAMS at St Just, 31 Oct 1836. Marriage register states she was 'of this parish' but unfortunately didn't say whether she was a spinster or a widower. In the 1851 census John (36) and Sarah (40) are with their family at Boscaswell Row, Pendeen (ref St Just 3b-139), and interestingly also in the house is William WALISH, 16, miner, listed as John's stepson. So, if Sarah had one illegitimate child, maybe she also had Thomas. John and Sarah are not at Boscaswell Row in 1841. |
