| Shared note | Originally I believed that Margaret's baptism register entry listed her "grandparents" as P. Eddy, Amelia Harvey, H. Cock and Celia Cock. This caused some confusion, however, the Cornwall OPC transcription refers to the same people but as "godparents". This solves some issues I'd had! It was unusual to have the godparents listed, but in looking for Margaret in the 1871 census, there is only one Margaret with a father Peter (who is married to an Elizabeth, which matched Margaret's mother in her baptism entry). However, Margaret is aged 4 which is unusually old for a baptism. |
