FUNERAL NOTICEThursday, 9th November, 1932. Ballarat Courier. WILLIAMS-The friends of George F. Williams are respectfully invited to follow the remains of his late dearly beloved WIFE,Charlotte Gertrude (Lottie), to the place of interment, the Ballarat New Cemetery. The funeral cortage will move from his residence, 3 Frank Street, This day Thursday,10 November at 3 o'clock. GEORGE LUDBROOK,Undertaker and funeral director, 8 Peel Street, Ballarat East. Phone 378. OBITUARYBallarat Courier, Sat. Nov 12, 1932. The funeral of the late Mrs Charlotte Gertrude Williams, wife of George Williams, well known in business circles, took place on Thursday , and was largely attended.The deceased was a daughter of the late James Eddy, a councillor of the Town of Ballarat East for many years.She was a personality, and made many friends by her pleasing and cheerful disposition.She went under an operation in Melbourne for inward trouble, but the shock was too great and she collapsed.The respect, esteem and love in which Mrs Williams and family were held was evidenced by the many and beautiful floral tributes, received from sympathising friends which were so numerous that they had to be conveyed by special car.Deceased leaves a husband and family , also an aged mother. Her remains were brought from Melbourne, and the funeral cortege moved from her home in Frank Street to the New Cemetery. The casket bearers were Messers R Cant,AK Hamilton, WWChisolm,W Jewell, C Cooke and T.H. Shattock. The chief mourners were George Williams (husband), Neil Williams(son),John Eddy (brother), Canon FP Williams, L Williams, J Gent, A Leviston, C Cooke, J Williams, H Ingram (brothers in law), JC Bush, Cliff Williams,Rex Williams,Les Leviston,John Ritchie and N Gazzard (nephews) John Holloway and Andrew Thiessen (cousins) and other relatives accompanied by representatives of the City Council, Medical Superintendant of the Base Hospital, honorary doctors of Base Hospital, management and staff of James Tyler and co., I and R. Morley and co., management and staff of GJ Coles, Christ Church vestry and choir, president and members of the Central Bowling Club, president and committee of the sister Bowling Clubs , Ballarat Harriers' Association and Harriers' clubs and a large number of representative citizens. Rev PS Moore, of Christ Church, assisted by the dean of Ballarat(Very Reverend W. P. Tucker) officiated at the house and at the graveside.The Rev. P Moore, assisted by the dean and Canon F.P. Williams, concluded the service. The mortuary arrangements were in charge of G Ludbrook and Son.
