Shared note

Richard was recorded as a carpenter of Paul when children Richard Henry Pengelly, Annie and Mary Ellen were baptised (1850, 1852 and 1854).

This family emigrated to Australia on the Marchioness of Salisbury. She left Plymouth 22 Nov 1854 and arrived in Geelong, Victoria on 21 Feb 1855. Also on the Marchioness were Richard's brothers John (and family) and Matthew (and family), as well as the sister of their wives (who were also sisters).

Richard and Caroline may have had another daughter, Mary, born on board the Marchioness.
