Shared note

There is a marriage for a Charles EDY to Mary BOSUSTOW on 4 Jul 1715 in St Just in Penwith, which I believe belongs to this one. The only other baptism for a Charles is that of this Charles's uncle, on 18 Jan 1662. Although I can't find a marriage for the first charles, he would have unusually old to have married in 1715.

The confusion with Charles doesn't stop there as there are 2 children baptised around then in St Just in Penwith, both with father Charles but they have different mothers: (a) Charles EDY, son of Charles EDY & Elizabeth -, 3 Nov 1718 St Just in Penwith (b) Winifred EDY, dau of, Charles EDY & Mary -, 26 Aug 1721 St Just in Penwith

Possible explanations are that there was a mistake in (a) and the mother should have been Mary, alternatively (a) could belong to another Charles whose marriage has not been recorded - possibly this Charles's uncle, or another without a baptism record.
