Shared note

Thomas's baptism register entry lists him as the son of Thomas EDDY, but doesn't mention the mother. I believe that he is most probably the son of Thomas EDDY and Elizabeth SAUNDRY. There are 2 main reasons behind this, firstly, it was normal to name the first born to a couple after the father, and I cannot find a baptism entry for a Thomas EDDY son of Thomas and Elizabeth. Secondly, the date and place of this baptism (3 Nov 1811, Morvah) tallies very well with the marriage date of Thomas EDDY and Elizabeth SAUNDRY (20 Apr 1811, Gulval) and the place where all their other children were baptised (Morvah). I have now also found this family, including Thomas, in the 1841 census.

Notes from Geoff McKee: Thomas was buried 25 Dec 1856 in St Just aged 45 of Trembath, Morvah.
