The will made 21 Sep 1771 by Ursula FRIGGENS of Gulval named Elizabeth EDDY "daughter of my nephew David EDDY". The Gulval Window Tax 1777 record had at Churchtown David EDDY 7 windows at 2d each. The will made 17 May 1780 by William HARVEY of Gulval named his daughter Joan, wife of David EDDY, yeoman of Gulval. David EDDY, gent of Gulval, made a will 13 Dec 1796 naming his wife Joan and daughter Elizabeth SIMMONS (execs.); niece Elizabeth EDDY; and nephew David EDDY. Witnesses were Cha. JACKA and William HARVEY. David EDDY was buried 19 Dec 1796 Gulval. Joan EDDY of Gulval, widow, made a will 25 Oct 1809 naming Elizabeth, widow of Andrew STEVENS dec. of Gulval (exec.); exec.'s children Joanna STEVENS, Elizabeth Eddy STEVENS and William Harvey STEVENS; nephew Edward Primrose TREGARTHA; nieces Phillis wife of Mr. Thomas LEAH of Paul, and Elizabeth wife of Charles BURETON; and Mr. James ROBERTS of ? as trustee. Witnesses were Geo. JOHNS and Thomas RICH. Joan EDDY was buried 5 Jun 1812 Gulval aged 85. The will was proved 12 Jun 1812. |
