Shared note

Previously had death date as 19 Jul 1963, Coolgardie WA, source: Liane Satie.

Notes from David John & Lorraine Eddy: Frederick Eddy's remains were found near Boorabbin, which is midway between Coolgardie and Southern Cross. It is believed he was a prospector all his life, and was travelling on a train when he alighted to where he died. His corpse was 3 years old and he is buried with his brother Bill at Karrakatta Cemetery. There is no headstone for him. His body was found and belongings identified by old Mr Morgan, from Morgan Stores, Coolgardie.

Mr. H.G.J. Ware of the Eastern Goldfields Historical (Archivist) dug up as much information as he could, and believed the general opinion in Coolgardie from relatives was that Fred died in the late 1950's, possibly as late as 1960. He wrote to me (Lorraine Eddy), with all the Eddy details he could find on July 20, 1981. The Society secretary Mrs. T. Thomson, wrote to me on September 11, 1981 with what little more information she could dig up.
