| Shared note | Details of John in the census returns in Cornwall have him named John EDDY, without a middle name. I can't find John in the 1871 census (or his parents) and I think he may have emigrated. A descendant of a John Mann EDDY in Australia contacted me with details of her ancestor John Mann EDDY which I believe is probably this John. Mann was his mother's maiden name and was a middle name used by at least one of his brothers (eldest brother was recorded as Richard Mann EDDY). |
