From Geoff McKee: The 1881 Census also had next door at Grumbler, Sancreed; [Source: FHL Film 1341565 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 2349 Folio 23 Page 4] Emily EDDY, u, 32, dom.servant, b. Sancreed; boarder (lodger) with Eliza GROSE, wid, 64, retired, b. St Just (Sancreed).

One of his daughters possibly married Joseph Barriball and died in Waiuku, New Zealand as this following obituary mentions. (Brother John Remphrey Eddy appears to have lived and died there.) MRS. J. BARRIBALL. A resident of Waiuku for over half a century, Mrs. Joseph Barriball, died on July 6, aged 75. She was bom at Sancreed, Cornwall, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Eddy. She came to Auckland in the ship Merivale when 24 years of age and went to relatives at Waiuku. Three years later Miss Eddy was married to Mr. Joseph Barriball, a well-known farmer of the district. Mrs. Barriball was a member of the Methodist Church. The following children survive: Messrs. C. J. E. Barriball, Oruru; R. J. Barriball, Waiuku; S. Barriball, Wellington; H. M. Barriball, Waiuku; J. L. Barriball, Christchurcli; W. E. Barriball, Oruru; R. R. Barriball, Te Aroha; and Mesdames G. V. Williams, S. C. Parmentcr, Waiuku; A. Gillon, Te Aroha; and D. V. Day, Waiuku. There are 16 grandchildren.
