However, there are the following baptism records for a James EDDY at least 18 years before he married (i.e. 1777, 18 years before 1795), and less than 40 years before he married (1755). Son of: (a) James EDDY & - -, 21 Aug 1763, Madron (b) John EDDY & - -, 05 Nov 1763, St Just in Penwith (c) John EDDY & Mary -, 05 Jan 1772, St Just in Penwith Of these, I believe James son of (b) can be eliminated as he married Honour GRENFELL (they had several children including Honor, and Susanna named after James's mother). Also, based on the names of their children (so may be wrong), I believe the son of (c) married Jane THOMAS as they had children named John and Mary, after that James's parents. By elimination this leaves (a) as likely parents of this James. |
