Marriage

Notes from Geoff McKee: Benjamin EDDY (son of Benjamin EDDY and Mary OLIVER) (46) married Mary PASCOE (daughter of William PASCOE and Jane ?) 10 Dec 1862 in Madron. [Benjamin EDDY sen. was an omnibus proprietor. William PASCOE was an innkeeper.]

Shared note

This is the second Benjamin in this family - the first must have died in infancy.

In the 1861 census, ref St Just in Penwith, 15-154: EDDY«tab»Benjamin«tab»Head«tab»U«tab»45«tab»St Just CON«tab»(bus proprietor) EDDY«tab»James«tab»Brother«tab»U«tab»29«tab»St Just CON«tab» Geoff McKee notes they are also living with Christiana EDDY, Visitor, wid, 66, St Just CON. [Not yet identified] - CFHS must have transcribed her surname as something other than EDDY as I don't have her in my EDDY details.

In the 1871 census, ref St Just in Penwith 15--92 (Chapel St.): EDDY«tab»Benjamin«tab»Head«tab»M«tab»55«tab»1816«tab»St Just - CON«tab»Bus Proprietor EDDY«tab»Mary«tab»Wife«tab»M«tab»45«tab»1826«tab»Helston - CON«tab» EDDY«tab»Janey P«tab»Daughter«tab»-«tab»7«tab»1864«tab»St Just - CON«tab» EDDY«tab»William P«tab»Son«tab»-«tab»4«tab»1867«tab»St Just - CON«tab» EDDY«tab»Benjamin«tab»Son«tab»-«tab»2«tab»1869«tab»St Just - CON«tab» PASCOE«tab»James«tab»Brother-in-Law«tab»U«tab»40«tab»1831«tab»Helston«tab»Accountant

There is a St Just baptism for a Benjamin 21 Jul 1850, son of Benjamin and Mary EDDY, which probably doesn't belong to this couple since Benjamin was recorded as unmarried in the 1861 census.
