Shared note

Mary Ann's age was recorded as 27 in the 1851 census, possibly born Sancreed.

In an imported file (source not recorded, probably a NICHOLLS researcher, possibly June Nicholls or Roy White), I have Mary Ann EDDY's father as Richard - perhaps this info has been noted after seeing a copy of the marriage certificate. Assuming Richard is Mary Ann's father, there is an entry in the 1841 census in Sancreed (ref 11-55 - see notes under Mary Ann's father, Richard) which would match them well, particularly as Cyprian NICHOLLS's family were based in Sancreed.

There is one other Mary EDDY in the 1841 census aged 15 (with rounding, 15-19) in Sancreed, ref 7-61, working as a Servant. Although I haven't yet researched this alternative which could possibly be this Mary Ann EDDY, I think the likelihood is slim when compared with the Mary EDDY in Sancreed, ref 11-55. As well as the reasons mentioned above, Mary Ann and Cyprian had 2 daughters baptised Elizabeth Eddy NICHOLLS, which would fit very well with being named after Mary's mother in the family ref 11-55.

Also, if we assume Richard and Elizabeth to be Mary Ann's parents, there is an appropriate baptism 09 May 1824 in St Just in Penwith, which concurs very well with being aged 27 for the 1851 census.

Until proven otherwise, I have assumed the above information to be correct for this Mary Ann EDDY.
