| Shared note | Obituary: The Bendigo Advertiser, Saturday 8 April 1899 (Victoria, Australia) DEATH OF AN OLD RESIDENT.— Our obituary column this morning contains the announcement of the death of Mrs. Eliza Boynes Eddy, wife of Mr. John Eddy, an old and highly respected resident of Jackson-street, Long Gully. The deceased, who was a native of Cornwall, England, was born on the 22nd January, 1815, and arriving in the colony in 1856 came up shortly afterwards to Bendigo, where she has resided ever since. Her husband and three married daughters were with her when she died on Saturday last. The deceased lady leaves several grand children and great grand children. One of the latter, a son of Mr. W.
