Shared note

In the 1841 census, Matthew EDDY would have been aged about 18, but I can't find anyone of this age. Rounding the age down to the nearest 5 years was common in that census, and with this is mind there is a possible match aged 15 (there are none aged 20, two aged 25 which is too old, and one aged 17 but he is in Budock, Cornwall). As this family have children with the same names as Matthew's descendants (Alfred being the particularly note-worthy case, but also Elizabeth, Mary and John), I believe they are the correct family for this William. 1841 census Kenidjack, St Just in Penwith, ref 5-22.
