(Medical):Lila worked as a knitter in a knitting factory in Melbourne. She married and moved to Williamstown. She joined the Methodist church as a pianist and soprano singer. She was a member of the CWA and the Primary school Mother's club. She was known for her cooking of sponges and boston buns, and she also knitted many pairs of socks for her descendants and also during the war as part of the Comfort's fund. She moved to Gardenvale where she operated a milk bar for 4 yrs and then they moved to Ferntree Gully and as she didn't drive she walked long distances to attend church and teach Sunday School. After her husband died in 1970 she moved to Eaglehawk and lived with her sister for 3 yrs and then back to Williamstown.
