Shared note

William was with his parents (William and Elizabeth) in the 1841 census at Truthwall, and his age was recorded as 25 - with rounding this means 25-29 (i.e. born 1812-1816). When married in Apr 1846, William was recorded as aged 29 of Truthwall, suggesting birth year 1816/1817. The only possible baptism entries for William, son of William and Elizabeth is 3 Jul 1816, however in this entry the father William is recorded as a tinner of Church Town. Although I would have expected 'of Truthwall', I can find no others to match.

In the 1851 census at no. 55 Truthwall, St Just in Penwith (from Geoff McKee): William«tab»«tab»EDDY«tab»«tab»H«tab»m«tab»33«tab»b. St Just Mary«tab»«tab»"«tab»«tab»W«tab»m«tab»27«tab»" Mary«tab»«tab»"«tab»«tab»D«tab»«tab» 4«tab»" William«tab»«tab»"«tab»«tab»S«tab»«tab» 1«tab»"
