This matches well with David's marriage to Betsey Thomas on 3 Dec 1842 in Zennor, when he is recorded as being a bachelor. There is a burial record for a Richard Eddy, 22 Jan 1849, Zennor, aged 77 of Bosigran. This matches well with the above Richard (1841 census ages were rounded down to nearest 5), and suggests a birth year of about 1772. The only baptism entry around that time is 3 Mar 1773, Zennor, son of Philip. Again, this matches well with this Richard for the dates and also that Richard's first son was named Philip. |
